Pray that the saints would realize their need for learning and the experience of life in order to carry out the purpose and goal of perfecting the saints in the group meetings (2 Tim. 3:14-17; Eph. 4:15-16).

Pray that the saints would learn to practice group meetings to reach the purpose and goal of perfecting the saints through mutual teaching by the mutual asking and answering of questions (Eph. 4:12; Col. 3:16).

Pray that the saints would learn how to practice group meetings that include fellowship, intercession, mutual care, and shepherding as the beginning and base of the group meetings (Gal. 6:2 and note 21; Phil. 2:1-3; 1 Cor. 12:23-27).

Pray that the saints would see and be burdened with their need to have their own group meeting for perfecting by considering, inciting, and exhorting one another (Heb. 10:24-25; Hymns, #867, s. 4).

Pray that the saints would see from Paul’s practice in Acts 20 how to perfect the saints and would dive into the Word to learn how to perfect themselves (Acts 20:18, 20, 27, 31; 1 Tim. 4:6; 2 Tim. 2:2, 15).

Pray that the saints would see that the purpose of the perfecting of the saints is that they may do the work of the ministry to build up the Body of Christ organically (Eph. 4:11-16 and notes 121, 122, 123, 124, and 161; 1 Thes. 2:11; Col. 1:28-29; Hymns, #840, ss. 3-4).

Pray that the saints would see the meaning of perfecting—to help the saints to grow in a definite way and to function adequately and fruitfully—and would pray for such perfecting (Eph. 4:11-13, 15-16; 2 Cor. 13:9b and note 92, 11; Hymns, #840, s. 2).

Pray that the saints would build up the new ones in four crucial practices of the Christian life—reading the Bible, praying always, keeping morning revival, and attending the meetings (2 Tim. 3:15-16 and note 162; 1 Thes. 5:17-18 and note 171; Prov. 4:18 and note 181; Lam. 3:22-24 and note 241; Heb. 10:25).
