Pray that the saints would see from Paul’s practice in Acts 20 how to perfect the saints and would dive into the Word to learn how to perfect themselves (Acts 20:18, 20, 27, 31; 1 Tim. 4:6; 2 Tim. 2:2, 15).
Acts 20:18, 20, 27, 31—And when they came to him, he said to them, You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time…how I did not withhold any of those things that are profitable by not declaring them to you and by not teaching you publicly and from house to house…For I did not shrink from declaring to you all the counsel of God…Therefore watch, remembering that for three years, night and day, I did not cease admonishing each one with tears.
1 Tim. 4:6—If you lay these things before the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, being nourished with the words of the faith and of the good teaching which you have closely followed.
2 Tim. 2:2—And the things which you have heard from me through many witnesses, these commit to faithful men, who will be competent to teach others also.
2 Tim. 2:15—Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman, cutting straight the word of the truth.
