Daily Prayer

Pray that the saints would rise up to sow the seed of Christ into people, not just occasionally but regularly according to a schedule, giving the Lord at least three hours each week for contacting people and distributing gospel tracts to sow the seed of the gospel (Eccl. 11:6; 1 Cor. 15:58; cf. Matt. 24:45-46).

Pray that the saints would have an interest in people, love people, like to talk to people, and rise up to contact people, always grasping the opportunity to sow the seed of Christ into them (John 4:9-11, 13-14; Acts 8:29-35).

Pray that the saints would contact people in a spirit of prayer with endurance, praying for those whom they know specifically by name (Rom. 1:9; Eph. 1:16; 1 Thes. 1:2-3).

Pray that the saints would be urgent to sow the gospel seed, being ready to proclaim the word in season and out of season (2 Tim. 4:2a; Eccl. 11:1-6; Isa. 55:10-11).

Pray that the saints would realize that their sowing the gospel seed is their sowing of God’s word that conveys God’s life into people’s spirit for their regeneration (Mark 4:14, 20, 33; Acts 8:4; James 1:21 and note 211; 1 Pet. 1:23 and note 232).

Pray that the saints would realize that the seed of Christ is sown through the gospel into human hearts and would pray for people’s hearts to become the good earth to receive the gospel seed (Matt. 13:18-23; 5:3, 8; John 4:36-37).

Pray that the saints would see that their proclaiming of the gospel of God is their sowing of the seed of Christ into people to bring in the kingdom of God (Mark 1:14-15; 4:3 and notes 31, 32; 4:26 and note 263).

Pray that the saints would see the need for both the fishing ministry and the mending ministry—first the fishing ministry to bring people in, and then the mending ministry to keep them from falling out (Matt. 4:18-22; 16:19a; Rev. 21:2).
