Prayer for the saints to see the need for both the fishing ministry and the mending ministry

Pray that the saints would see the need for both the fishing ministry and the mending ministry—first the fishing ministry to bring people in, and then the mending ministry to keep them from falling out (Matt. 4:18-22; 16:19a; Rev. 21:2).

Matt. 4:18-22—And while He was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And He said to them, Come after Me, and I will make you fishers of men. And immediately leaving the nets, they followed Him. And going on from there, He saw another two brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and He called them. And immediately leaving the boat and their father, they followed Him.

Matt. 16:19a—I will give to you [Peter] the keys of the kingdom of the heavens.

Rev. 21:2—And I [John] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
