Pray that the saints would see that the purpose of the perfecting of the saints is that they may do the work of the ministry to build up the Body of Christ organically (Eph. 4:11-16 and notes 121, 122, 123, 124, and 161; 1 Thes. 2:11; Col. 1:28-29; Hymns, #840, ss. 3-4).

Pray that the saints would see the meaning of perfecting—to help the saints to grow in a definite way and to function adequately and fruitfully—and would pray for such perfecting (Eph. 4:11-13, 15-16; 2 Cor. 13:9b and note 92, 11; Hymns, #840, s. 2).

Pray that the saints would build up the new ones in four crucial practices of the Christian life—reading the Bible, praying always, keeping morning revival, and attending the meetings (2 Tim. 3:15-16 and note 162; 1 Thes. 5:17-18 and note 171; Prov. 4:18 and note 181; Lam. 3:22-24 and note 241; Heb. 10:25).

Pray that the saints would learn to grasp the opportunity to minister something of the Word into the new ones in the home meetings (Isa. 50:4; John 6:63, 68; Acts 16:32).

Pray that the saints would learn to have proper home meetings with the four constituting elements of a meeting: the Word of God; the mingled spirit, our spirit mingled with God’s Spirit; singing; and praying (Col. 3:16 and notes 161 and 165; 1 Cor. 12:3b and note 33; Eph. 5:18-19 and notes 181 and 191;…

Pray that the saints would learn to know the new ones and to speak according to each new one’s need (Mark 10:51-52; Acts 8:30-31, 35).

Pray that the saints would learn how to cherish the new believers, taking care of them and making them happy, in such a way that their hearts would be open to the saints and their nourishing (John 21:12-15 and note 121; 1 Thes. 2:7 and note 72; Eph. 5:29 and note 291; Hymns, #1068, ss.…

Pray that the saints would learn to effectively nourish the new believers that they may become remaining fruit (John 15:16 and note 163; 21:15 and note 154; 1 Thes. 2:7; Hymns, #811, ss. 1, 6-7 and chorus).

Pray that the saints would practice to nourish themselves first in order to nourish others, especially the new believers (1 Tim. 4:6 and notes 61, 62, 63, 64, and 65; Jer. 15:16 and note 161; Ezek. 3:1-4; Hymns, #912, s. 3 and chorus).
