禱告使聖徒學習照著詩歌的目的和選詩的原則，在聚會中，特別是在擘餅聚會中選詩（太二六30，林前十四26，詩歌394首，副歌）。

太二六30—他們唱了詩，就出來往橄欖山去。

林前十四26—弟兄們，這卻怎麼樣？每逢你們聚在一起的時候，各人或有詩歌，或有教訓，或有啟示，或有方言，或有繙出來的話，凡事都當為建造。
