禱告使聖徒有深刻的印象，他們需要在家中和日常生活中操練講說並歌唱詩歌，好成為整天在靈裏被充滿的人，豫備好在聚會裏說話、讚美並唱詩（弗五18下～19，徒十六25，詩歌265首，第1節和副歌）。

弗五18下-19—乃要在靈裡被充滿，用詩章、頌辭、靈歌，彼此對說，從心中向主歌唱、頌詠，

徒十六25—約在半夜，保羅和西拉禱告唱詩讚美神，眾囚犯也側耳聽他們。
