禱告使聖徒藉著雅歌中所描繪與基督愛的交通中進展的經歷，活在神聖的羅曼史裏，有生命的長大和生命的變化（歌一1及註1，9～11，9節註2，11節註1）。

歌一1—歌中的歌，就是所羅門的歌。

歌一9-11—我的佳偶，我將你比作法老車上套的駿馬。你的兩腮，因髮辮的妝飾而秀美；你的頸項，因珠串而美麗。我們要為你編上金辮，鑲上銀釘。
