Prayer for the saints to set their hope on the new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells, and to be found by the Lord in peace

禱告使聖徒不寄望於可見的事物，而寄望於神應許的話作他們的定命，就是新天新地，有義居住在其中，並且使他們殷勤，給主看出在平安中（平安乃是義的果子），也就是在主來臨時，在祂眼中與神和人都是對的（彼後三13～14 ，來十二11，賽三二17）。

彼後三13-14—但我們照祂的應許，期待新天新地，有義居住在其中。 所以，親愛的，你們既期待這些事，就當殷勤，得在平安中給主看為無斑點、無瑕疵的；

來十二11—一切的管教，當時固然不覺得喜樂，反覺得愁苦；後來卻給那藉此受過操練的人，結出平安的義果。

Isa. 32:17—And the work of righteousness will be peace, / And the result of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
