Prayer for the saints to have a definite time and way to worship the Father and to reserve an adequate amount of time for their worship
Pray that, as the regenerated children of God, the saints would have a definite time and way to worship the Father, the time being after the remembrance of the Lord at the Lord’s table, and the way being to worship the Father under the leadership of Christ as their older Brother (Heb. 2:12 and note 123; Matt. 26:26-30 and note 301; Hymns, #50, ss. 1, 4).
Heb. 2:12—Saying, “I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the church I will sing hymns of praise to You.”
Matt. 26:26-30—And as they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it, and He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat; this is My body. And He took a cup and gave thanks, and He gave it to them, saying, Drink of it, all of you, for this is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. But I say to you, I shall by no means drink of this product of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of My Father. And after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
