Day 155: Prayer for the saints to overcome the flesh

Pray that the saints would overcome the flesh by God’s grace and would thoroughly put the flesh to death by the Spirit (Gen. 6:3a, 8 and note 8²; Exo. 17:8, 13 and notes 8¹ and 8²; 1 Sam. 15:2-3a, 9 and note 9¹; Gal. 5:24; Hymns, #412, ss. 1 and 5).

创六3上，8—耶和华说，人既是肉体，我的灵就不永远与他相争…但挪亚在耶和华眼前蒙恩。

出十七8, 13—那时，亚玛力人来在利非订，和以色列人争战。…约书亚用刀击败了亚玛力王和他的百姓。

撒上十五2-3上, 9—万军之耶和华如此说，以色列人从埃及上来的时候，在路上亚玛力人抵挡他们；为着亚玛力人向以色列人所作的，我要惩罚他们。现在你要去击打亚玛力人，灭绝他们所有的…扫罗和百姓却怜惜亚甲，也爱惜上好的羊、牛、肥畜、羊羔，并一切美物，不肯灭绝；凡下贱和无价值的，都灭绝了。

加五24—但那属基督耶稣的人，是已经把肉体连肉体的邪情私欲，都钉了十字架。
