Prayer for the saints to set their hope on the new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells, and to be found by the Lord in peace

祷告使圣徒不寄望于可见的事物，而寄望于神应许的话作他们的定命，就是新天新地，有义居住在其中，并且使他们殷勤，给主看出在平安中（平安乃是义的果子），也就是在主来临时，在祂眼中与神和人都是对的（彼后三13～14， 来十二11，赛三二17）。

彼后 三13-14—但我们照祂的应许，期待新天新地，有义居住在其中。 所以，亲爱的，你们既期待这些事，就当殷勤，得在平安中给主看为无斑点、无瑕疵的；

来十二11—一切的管教，当时固然不觉得喜乐，反觉得愁苦；后来却给那藉此受过操练的人，结出平安的义果。

Isa. 32:17—And the work of righteousness will be peace, / And the result of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
