Day 36: Prayer to prepare the wedding garment, to be beautified with Christ, and to fight the battle against God’s enemy

Pray that we will prepare our wedding garment of “fine linen, bright and clean,” the fine linen being the righteousnesses of the saints, by living out Christ as our subjective and surpassing righteousness; that we will be beautified by Christ being wrought into us and being expressed through us as our beauty; and that we will fight the battle against God’s enemy and overcome him by speaking the word of God (Rev. 19:8; Phil. 3:9; Matt. 5:20; Eph. 3:17a; 5:26-27; S. S. 1:15; Eph. 6:11; Rev. 12:11; 19:13).

Ap. 19:8—Y a ella se le ha concedido que se vista de lino fino, resplandeciente y limpio; porque el lino fino es las acciones justas de los santos.

Fil. 3:9—Y ser hallado en Él, no teniendo mi propia justicia, que es por la ley, sino la que es por medio de la fe en Cristo, la justicia procedente de Dios basada en la fe.

Ef. 3:17a—Para que Cristo haga Su hogar en vuestros corazones por medio de la fe.

Ef. 5:26-27—Para santificarla, purificándola por el lavamiento del agua en la palabra, a fin de presentársela a Sí mismo, una iglesia gloriosa, que no tuviese mancha ni arruga ni cosa semejante, sino que fuese santa y sin defecto.

Cnt. 1:15—¡Oh, tú eres hermosa, amor mío! / ¡Oh, tú eres hermosa! Tus ojos son como palomas.

Ap. 12:11—Y ellos le han vencido por causa de la sangre del Cordero y de la palabra del testimonio de ellos, y no amaron la vida de su alma, hasta la muerte.

Ap. 19:13—Está vestido de una ropa teñida en sangre; y Su nombre es la Palabra de Dios.
