Day 69: Prayer for the saints to learn to praise the Lord with the high praises—praises out of the experience of Christ
Pray that the saints would learn to praise the Lord with the high praises out of their experience of Christ, with praises that match the element and standard of Psalm 68 (vv. 1, 4, 11-12; 149:6-9).
Psa. 68:1, 4, 11-12—Let God arise; let His enemies be scattered; / And let those who hate Him flee before Him…Sing to God; sing psalms to His name; / Triumph in Him who rides through the deserts— / For Jah is His name—and exult before Him…The Lord gives the command; / The women who bear the glad tidings are a great host. / The kings of the armies flee. / They flee! / And she who abides at home / Divides the spoil.
Psa. 149:6-9—Let the high praises of God be in their throats, / And a two-edged sword in their hand, / To execute vengeance on the nations / And punishment among the peoples; / To bind their kings with fetters / And their nobles with chains of iron; / To execute upon them the judgment written. / This honor is for all His faithful ones. / Hallelujah!
