Day 296: Prayer for the saints to follow the apostle Paul’s pattern in boasting in those gained, perfected, and built up through him
Pray that the saints would follow the pattern of the apostle Paul, who boasted in those who had been gained, perfected, and built up through him (2 Thes. 1:3-4; Phil. 2:16-17; 2 Cor. 9:2; 1:14).
2 Thes. 1:3-4—We ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, even as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly and the love of each one of you all to one another is increasing, so that we ourselves boast in you among the churches of God concerning your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and the afflictions which you bear.
Phil. 2:16-17—Holding forth the word of life, so that I may have a boast in the day of Christ that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain. But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and I rejoice together with you all.
2 Cor. 9:2—For I know your eagerness, of which I boast on your behalf to the Macedonians, that Achaia has been prepared since last year; and your zeal has stirred up the greater number of them.
2 Cor. 1:14—Even as also you know us in part, that we are your boast, just as you also are ours in the day of our Lord Jesus.
