Day 276: Prayer for the saints to sow the gospel seed by proclaiming the word in season and out of season
Pray that the saints would be urgent to sow the gospel seed, being ready to proclaim the word in season and out of season (2 Tim. 4:2a; Eccl. 11:1-6; Isa. 55:10-11).
2 Tim. 4:2a—Proclaim the word; be ready in season and out of season.
Eccl. 11:1-6—Cast your bread upon the surface of the waters, for you will find it in many days. Give a portion to seven, and even to eight, for you do not know what calamity will happen on the earth. If the clouds are full, they pour forth rain on the earth; and whether a tree falls toward the south or toward the north, in the place where the tree falls, there will it be. He who watches the wind will not sow, and he who looks at the clouds will not reap. Just as you do not know what the path of the wind is or how the bones are formed in the mother’s womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything. In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not hold back your hands; for you do not know which will prosper, this one or that, or whether both alike will be good.
Isa. 55:10-11—For just as the rain comes down / And the snow from heaven, / And does not return there, / Until it waters the earth / And makes it bear and sprout forth, / That it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater; / So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; / It will not return to Me vainly, / But it will accomplish what I delight in, / And it will prosper in the matter to which I have sent it.
