Day 158: Prayer for the saints to overcome all the oppositions and persecutions, the hard environments, and the difficult situations

Pray that the saints would overcome all the persecutions and oppositions, hard environments, and difficult situations by the unchanging love of God and the power of resurrection life (Rom. 8:35-39 and note 371; Rev. 2:10-11 and notes 103 and 111; Hymns, #887, ss. 3-5).

Rom. 8:35-39—Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? As it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; we have been accounted as sheep for slaughter.” But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rev. 2:10-11—Do not fear the things that you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison that you may be tried, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall by no means be hurt of the second death.
