Day 156: Prayer for the saints to overcome the world

Pray that the saints would overcome the world by their organic union with Christ in their regenerated human spirit (1 John 2:15 and note 15²; 5:4-5 and notes 4¹ and 4⁵; Hymns, #438, s. 1 and chorus).

1 John 2:15—Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.

1 John 5:4-5—For everything that has been begotten of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory which has overcome the world—our faith. And who is he who overcomes the world except him who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
