Day 151: Prayer for the saints to experience the filling of the Spirit outwardly (1)

Pray that the saints would experience the filling of the Spirit outwardly—being filled with the Spirit outwardly as the wind and the fire (Luke 12:49; Acts 1:8; 2:1-4 and notes 2¹ and 3²; Hymns, #271, s. 3).

Luke 12:49—I have come to cast fire on the earth, and how I wish that it were already kindled!

Acts 1:8—But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 2:1-4—And as the day of Pentecost was being fulfilled, they were all together in the same place. And suddenly there was a sound out of heaven, as of a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which were distributed; and it sat on each one of them; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, even as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth.
