Day 18: Prayer for the saints to realize that the fire on the altar should be kept burning continually

Pray that the saints would see that the fire on the altar should be kept burning continually—“it must not go out”—and would cooperate with God’s desire by adding “wood” to the fire every morning (Lev. 6:9b, 12a, 13 and notes 9², 9³, 9⁴, and 12¹).

Lev. 6:9, 12a-13—Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering shall be on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it…And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it must not go out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning…Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.
