Day 3: Prayer for a renewed consecration (3)—taking Christ as our person
Pray that at the beginning of the new year the saints would consecrate themselves afresh to the Lord, not to do something for Him but to take Him as their person for the building up of the church as the one new man (Gal. 2:20; Eph. 3:16-17a; 4:21-24).
Gal. 2:20—I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Eph. 3:16-17a—That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man, that Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith.
Eph. 4:21-24—If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him as the reality is in Jesus, that you put off, as regards your former manner of life, the old man, which is being corrupted according to the lusts of the deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind and put on the new man, which was created according to God in righteousness and holiness of the reality.
