Day 1: Prayer for a renewed consecration (1)—responding to God’s need with consecration

Pray that as we enter into a new year all the saints would see God’s need to give Himself to us and dispense Himself into us for the building up of the church, and that they would respond to God’s need with a fresh consecration (Luke 14:16-17 and note 16¹; Rom. 12:1). 

Luke 14:16-17—And [Jesus] said to him, A certain man was making a great dinner and invited many; and he sent his slave at the dinner hour to say to those who had been invited, Come, for all things are now ready.

Rom. 12:1—I exhort you therefore, brothers, through the compassions of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.
