Prayer for the saints to know Christ, who is righteousness and whose reign is in uprightness

Pray that the saints would know Christ as the One who is righteousness and that they would be partners with Him as the One who loves righteousness and hates lawlessness and who reigns in God’s kingdom with the scepter of uprightness (Jer. 23:5-6; Psa. 45:3-7; Heb. 1:8-9).

Jer. 23:5-6—Indeed, days are coming, / Declares Jehovah, / When I will raise up to David a righteous Shoot; / And He will reign as King and act prudently / And will execute justice and righteousness in the land. / In His days Judah will be saved, / And Israel will dwell securely; / And this is His name by which He will be called: / Jehovah our righteousness.

Psa. 45:3-7—Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O mighty One, / In Your majesty and Your splendor / And in Your splendor ride on victoriously / Because of truth and meekness and righteousness; / And let Your right hand teach You awesome deeds. / Your arrows are sharp: / The peoples fall under You; / The arrows are in the heart of the King’s enemies. / Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; / The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom. / You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; / Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You / With the oil of gladness above Your companions.

Heb. 1:8-9—But of the Son, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of exultant joy above Your partners.”
