Prayer for the saints to overcome to practice the normal and proper church life in God’s economy
Pray for the saints to overcome in order to practice the normal and proper church life in God’s economy, a life of living and magnifying Christ, of prophesying to build up the Body of Christ, of meeting regularly as a proper local church on the genuine ground of the unique oneness of the Body as a local expression of the universal Body of Christ, and of meeting and serving in mutuality according to the God-ordained way (Phil. 1:20-21a; Eph. 4:12, 3-4; Rev. 1:11-12).
Phil. 1:20-21a—According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death. For to me, to live is Christ.
Eph. 4:12—For the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry, unto the building up of the Body of Christ.
Eph. 4:3-4—Being diligent to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace: one Body and one Spirit, even as also you were called in one hope of your calling.
Rev. 1:11-12—Saying, What you see write in a scroll and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamos and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea. And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me; and when I turned, I saw seven golden lampstands.
