Day 257: Prayer for the young people to experience the humanity of Jesus for the building up of the church

Pray that the young people in the Lord’s recovery would experience the humanity of Jesus for the building up of the church (Exo. 25:10-11 and note 10²; 26:15 and note 15²; 1 Thes. 1:5b; Rev. 22:2c).

Exo. 25:10-11—And they shall make an ark of acacia wood…And you shall overlay it with pure gold; inside and outside you shall overlay it; and you shall make a rim of gold upon it all around.

Exo. 25:10², acacia wood—Acacia wood (vv. 5, 10, 23; 26:15; 27:1) signifies Christ’s human nature, strong in character and high in standard. Christ’s humanity is the basic element, the basic substance, for Him to be God’s testimony on earth.

Exo. 26:15—And you shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing up.

Exo. 26:15², acacia wood—The boards were made of acacia wood overlaid with gold (v. 29), the same materials used to make the Ark (25:10-11). This indicates that the boards are the enlargement and extension of the Ark. In the same way the believers in Christ, typified by the boards, are the enlargement and extension of Christ as God’s testimony (John 12:23-24; 2 Cor. 10:1; Phil. 1:8, 20-21a). Through regeneration the believers have received the uplifted humanity of Jesus and His overlaying divine nature to become boards of acacia wood overlaid with gold. The overlaying of the acacia wood with gold signifies that the divine nature of Christ has become one with the believers’ human nature to be the expression of God.

1 Thes. 1:5b—Even as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

Rev. 22:2c—And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
