Day 284: Prayer for the saints to proclaim the glad tidings of Christ’s victory
Pray that the saints would proclaim the glad tidings of Christ’s victory over the enemy (Gen. 49:9 and notes 91 and 92; 1 John 3:8b; Col. 2:15; Heb. 2:14; Psa. 68:11-12).
Gen. 49:9—Judah is a young lion; / From the prey, my son, you have gone up. / He couches, he stretches out like a lion, / And like a lioness; who will rouse him up?
1 John 3:8b—For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Col. 2:15—Stripping off the rulers and the authorities, He made a display of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Heb. 2:14—Since therefore the children have shared in blood and flesh, He also Himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death He might destroy him who has the might of death, that is, the devil.
Psa. 68:11-12—The Lord gives the command; / The women who bear the glad tidings are a great host. / The kings of the armies flee. / They flee! / And she who abides at home / Divides the spoil.
