Day 335: Prayer for the saints to pick up the Lord’s burden to care for people
Pray that the saints would go to the Lord to spend time with Him, to consecrate themselves anew to Him, to be dealt with by Him in His presence, and to receive His burden to care for and shepherd people, even picking up a burden for some specific persons to pray for and care for (Exo. 21:5-6; Isa. 50:4-5; 1 John 1:5, 7; 1 Thes. 2:7-8, 19-20).
Exo. 21:5-6—But if the servant plainly says, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free; then his master shall bring him to God and shall bring him to the door or to the doorpost, and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.
Isa. 50:4-5—The Lord Jehovah has given me / The tongue of the instructed, / That I should know how to sustain the weary with a word. / He awakens me morning by morning; / He awakens my ear / To hear as an instructed one. / The Lord Jehovah has opened my ear; / And I was not rebellious, / Nor did I turn back.
1 John 1:5, 7—And this is the message which we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all…But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin.
1 Thes. 2:7-8, 19-20—But we were gentle in your midst, as a nursing mother would cherish her own children. Yearning in this way over you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own souls, because you became beloved to us…For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at His coming? Are not even you? For you are our glory and joy.
