Day 264: Prayer for the churches to increase both in life and in number

Pray that all the churches would increase in a normal way both in life and in number, and that we would learn to check ourselves by the increase in number (Col. 1:10; 2:19; Acts 6:7; 9:31; Ezek. 36:37-38).

Col. 1:10—To walk worthily of the Lord to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and growing by the full knowledge of God.

Col. 2:19—And not holding the Head, out from whom all the Body, being richly supplied and knit together by means of the joints and sinews, grows with the growth of God.

Acts 6:7—And the word of God grew, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem multiplied greatly; and a large number of the priests obeyed the faith.

Acts 9:31—So then the church throughout the whole of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it was multiplied.

Ezek. 36:37-38—Thus says the Lord Jehovah, Moreover for this I will be inquired of by the house of Israel to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. Like the holy flock for sacrifices, like the flock of Jerusalem in her appointed feasts, so will the waste cities be filled with flocks of men; and they will know that I am Jehovah.
