Day 262: Prayer for a church life filled with mutuality
Pray that the Lord would fill the church life with the characteristic of mutuality as the essential feature of all relationships in the Body and the basic principle of the meetings of the church (Rom. 12:10; 15:7a; 1 Cor. 12:25; 14:24a, 26, 31; Gal. 5:13b; 6:2a; Eph. 5:19a, 21; Col. 3:13a, 16b; 1 Thes. 5:11; Heb. 10:24-25).
Rom. 12:10—Love one another warmly in brotherly love; take the lead in showing honor one to another.
Rom. 15:7a—Therefore receive one another.
1 Cor. 12:25—That there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same care for one another.
1 Cor. 14:24a, 26, 31—But if all prophesy…What then, brothers? Whenever you come together, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up…For you can all prophesy one by one that all may learn and all may be encouraged.
Gal. 5:13b—Through love serve one another.
Gal. 6:2a—Bear one another’s burdens.
Eph. 5:19a, 21—Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs…Being subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
Col. 3:13a, 16b—Bearing one another and forgiving one another…Teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.
1 Thes. 5:11—Therefore comfort one another, and build up each one the other, even as you also do.
Heb. 10:24-25—And let us consider one another so as to incite one another to love and good works, not abandoning our own assembling together, as the custom with some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more as you see the day drawing near.
