Pray that the saints would enter into and develop a personal and affectionate relationship with the Lord (S. S. 1:2-4a; John 13:23).

Pray that the saints would be freshly attracted by Christ’s love, charmed by His name, and captivated by His person in order to have a fresh pursuit of Him (S. S. 1:2-4a; Eph. 3:19a and note 191; Psa. 45:2 and note 21; Isa. 33:17a).

Pray that the saints’ love for the Lord would be rekindled, that they would have a fresh love for the Lord Jesus, and that they would have a fresh taste of His love (Rev. 2:4 and note 41; Jer. 2:2; S. S. 1:2; Gal. 2:20).

Pray that the saints would be flooded with the love of Christ and would be constrained by His dying love to live to Him (2 Cor. 5:14-15 and notes 141 and 142).

Pray that the saints would realize that God has a high regard for the “ashes”—the result of the burnt offering—and that the result of their offering themselves to God as a burnt offering will be the building of the New Jerusalem (Lev. 6:10-11).

Pray that the saints would prove the Lord and testify to His reality by offering on the altar both their material offerings and themselves as the “tithe” to the Lord that they may experience His abundant blessing—His mingling with them by His burning (Lev. 27:30; Deut. 14:22-23; Num. 6:2; Psa. 110:3; Rom. 12:1; Mal. 3:10).

Pray that the saints would realize that the Lord’s desire to change the age needs a group of young people who would willingly lay themselves on the altar to be burned by Him and would tell the Lord that they are willing (Lev. 3:11; Num. 28:2 and note 21; cf. Psa. 110:3).

Pray that the saints would see that the fire on the altar should be kept burning continually—“it must not go out”—and would cooperate with God’s desire by adding “wood” to the fire every morning (Lev. 6:9b, 12a, 13 and notes 92, 93, 94, and 121).

Pray that the saints would see their need to be burned by the Lord to such an extent that they are consumed by Him and become one with Him, issuing in the glow of the fire, the glory of God (Ezek. 1:4; Rom. 12:1).

Pray that the saints will offer themselves to God in their union with Christ as their burnt offering for their mingling with God by His burning (Lev. 1:4 and note 41; Deut. 4:24; Heb. 12:29).
