A uno dio cinco talentos, y a otro dos,  a otro uno, a cada uno conforme a su capacidad; y se fue al extranjero. Inmediatamente el que hab\u00eda recibido cinco talentos fue y negoci\u00f3 con ellos, y gan\u00f3 otros cinco. Asimismo el que hab\u00eda recibido dos, gan\u00f3 otros dos. Pero el que hab\u00eda recibido uno fue y cav\u00f3 en la tierra, y escondi\u00f3 el dinero de su se\u00f1or. Despu\u00e9s de mucho tiempo vino el se\u00f1or de aquellos esclavos, y arregl\u00f3 cuentas con ellos... Pero acerc\u00e1ndose tambi\u00e9n el que hab\u00eda recibido un talento, dijo: Se\u00f1or te conoc\u00eda que eres hombre duro, que siegas donde no sembraste y recoges donde no aventaste; por lo cual tuve miedo, y fui y escond\u00ed tu talento en la tierra; mira, aqu\u00ed tienes lo que es tuyo. Respondiendo su se\u00f1or, le dijo: Esclavo malo y perezoso, sab\u00edas que siego donde no sembr\u00e9, y que recojo donde no avent\u00e9.
